Baguazhang (八卦掌), the “Eight Trigram Palm”, is a traditional Chinese internal martial art characterised by circular movement, continuous transformation, and the practice of circle walking.

Its training develops coordination, mobility, balance, whole-body power, and the ability to adapt fluidly to change. Through palm techniques, body transformations, footwork, forms, and partner practice, Baguazhang combines effective martial principles with the cultivation of awareness and internal connection.

At Mountain Gate Dao, Baguazhang is practised not only as a martial art, but also as a method of physical and internal cultivation, complementing our broader approach to body, mind, and awareness.
